The Hublot Oceanographic 4000 is an extreme deep-sea diving watch, designed to withstand depths of up to 4,000 meters (13,120 feet). It was introduced in 2011 as part of Hublot’s commitment to high-performance watchmaking and extreme engineering. The Oceanographic 4000 underwent 18 months of research and development, including extensive pressure testing.
Its extreme water resistance is achieved through a combination of ultra-thick sapphire crystal, a reinforced case structure, and a specialized helium escape valve to release pressure during deep saturation dives. Despite its 48mm case size, the use of titanium helps keep it relatively lightweight for its size.
